LEARN TO RUN!!!!
On September 11, we begin a 10-week clinic for all inexperienced runners who are looking for direction and guidance to get new runners off on the right foot.
As part of the clinic we offer information on proper footwear, nutrition/hydration, how to dress in layers, stretching and core body strength, etc. etc. etc.
This 10-week clinic is packed with information for people with no running experience at all AND for experienced runners who want to pick up a few extra tips.

Learn To Run Clinic 2010
The Runner's Den is starting the Spring Learn To Run session Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 9am at the Runner's Den!
This is a 10 week program designed to give you the basics to help you meet your running goals, whether you are just new to running or if you are trying to get started again.
We will meet every Saturday morning at the store location #6, 5511 Gaetz Avenue at 9am. There will be information sessions before each run covering such topics as:
- form and technique
- clothing, nutrition, footwear, etc.
- Weber's Physiotherapy will be guest speakers to cover stretching and core body strength
- Pure Chiropractic will be guest speakers covering their Winning With Wellness program
- Kensei Martial Arts and Fitness will be instructing an hour long self-defense program in their north end studio
.... and much, much more!!!!
Don't be afraid of whatever your current fitness levels may (or may not) be. This is a non-competitive group that progresses at a slow rate with gradual increases.

2010 Runner's Den Half/Full Marathon Clinic
The clinic is broken up into 4-5 different pace groups for you to choose from based on your "goal" time, experience, and/or ability.
We will meet every Sunday at the Collicutt Centre at 8am. Most weeks will include an (approx.) half hour presentation covering a range of topics from stretching to proper hydration and nutrition, to dressing properly for the winter, etc. with our runs to follow these presentations.
Lifestyles Fitness has put together a "new and improved" training plan for our 2010 Clinic that everyone will get a copy of. It includes a daily rest/workout schedule as well as cross-training ideas to support and improve your running performance.
Registrations can be picked up at The Runner's Den.
Clinic cost is $75 per person.
